"I returned to the site for this item specifically.
I usually use this if needed & on the go. It is better than a RIVALS 'shake type' RTD as it has never leaked. This occassion I have the orange variety, but the prefered taste is a 'tropical' one. Reasonably priced high protein belly filler."

"This product is right down my street. As a child I used to have a serious milk allergy, and although I've grown out of it physically, psychologically the taste of a milkshake/milkshake flavours (as all protein powders are, chocolate, strawberry that kind of thing) always make me feel pretty sick after drinking. Because of this I always struggled to keep enough protein in my diet (no one wants to feel like being sick twice a day). This product is the answer. Yes, it's a little pricey, but for 40g of protein in 500ml I seriously cant argue. The taste is what you get with any whey drink, quite sweet due to all the sweeteners, with that familiar almost whey burn at the end. Tastes pretty much like lucozade sport with a bit of an after taste. Plus its stupidly convenient. I can take one of these to work without the inconvenience of making a shake/carrying a large shaker. Will be buying a months worth soon! Cannot recommend enough."

"This is a very good product!
It has a massive, 40 grams of protein in 500 ml and the orange flavour tastes just like orange squash/Lucozade sport!
The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I am allergic to it :( (Sad times)
But even though I myself can not drink it, I would definitely recommend!
If you are still unsure; it's only £1.99, you have nothing to loose!"

"I tried the orange flavour after reading the review below after hearing it tastes like lucozade sport, and it really does! the taste is amazing and i've ordered 2 crates more.

The nutrition is also top notch on this. I'm replacing other shakes with these because I find I can't stand the taste of any and i've tried many brands so i'll stick to these."

"Has a good protein hit, but i found that, at least the tropical punch flavour has a very un-desirable texture, and after taste."

Q when you think about it you could spend £100's of pounds every week on supplements i understand the importance of protein and creatine but also bcaa, glutamine etc are important too, now i dont want to spend the whole day taking one thing then the next hour after hour can you help me pick a sack. my goal is to lose bodyfat whiles maintaining muscle and even gain some lean muscle, i was thinking i wake up and train virtually straight away at 7am and i work as a taxi driver and always on the go that reflex whey refresh is idea for me now taking into account my early training session what would be a good pre and post w/o(i do train hard body building) to go with the refresh is there any other supp that is essential too

Refresh will cover your protein needs and you have to keep your protein intake high to maintain muscle when dieting and to keep hunger at bay. Try adding a creatine tablet like Creakic or Creadex (4 times per day for the first 5 days and then 2 servings on workout days and one serving on non-workout days) OR you could use a low-carb protein that contains creatine like Nitro-Tech (3 scoops daily). You could also add a fat-burner - Xenadrine and Animal Cuts are our strongest and they help by boosting metabolism and curbing hunger. For the best fat-loss diet strategy, see The article, "The Can’t Fail Diet" -

Q Would you consider this a good pre bedtime protein? For those who wish not to use any form of casein? If not what of the RTD products best suits last protein intake of the night?

Whey refresh is a whey protein so it will provide protein (amino acids) to the bloodstream for 4 hours after consumption. If you want a longer effect without using casein, try egg protein powder, which lasts 6 to 8 hours or more. Virtually all of the other RTDs contain casein. Keep in mind, it is probably not a bad thing to have this period in the night without aminos going into the blood because it allows for a stronger effect from protein taken at breakfast. So I wouldn't be concerned with using Whey Refresh.

Q Hi, I'm trying to get away from artificial sweetners, can you tell me how much sucralose there is in each 500Ml serving. Thanks

Reflex UK Sales manager replyed the following:- Unfortunately, we don’t provide that information to protect the formula from being copied.

Q This may be a silly question, but where is the proof that this product actually supplies 40g of protein? It's a little hard to believe that something which (compared with a protein powder) tastes so good and is so easy to digest (well its liquid so it should be absorbed instantly im guessing?) could provide such a huge amount of protein. Is there any clinical/scientific evidence of this stuff working? Or even the statement about protein being true at all? I notice that the bottle contains no ingredients and no information about the product either. This makes it seem quite dubious. Protein powders have plenty of information on the product label, this has none.

Reflex, the manufacturer of this product is a large supplement company that does several testing proceedures on its products including subjecting them to independent testing to verify its level of protein and other nutrients, so you can be quite confident that it contains very similar amounts to those stated on the label. The bottle I'm holding in my hand does have nutrition information printed on the label - although in fairly small print (but I can read it). Several companies have similar products (there are dozens of similar products in North America), so don't be so surprised by its taste and contents as they are not atypical.
